Redman Family

Dan and Meg Redman of Penola, South Australia, became aware of the work of the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute following the diagnoses of their son, Jock with Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH).

LCH is a rare cancer-like disease that mostly affects infants and children. Lesions can infiltrate any organ of the body, which can result in bone lesions. The Institute has an internationally regarded research program into LCH.

The Redman Family have become wonderful supporters of the Institute supporting the development of the annual Winter Wine Auction and taking on the challenge of the Classic 16km Run for Research in 2021.

In July 2021, an event recently hosted by Redman Wines, the Long Lunch 4 Jock rasied over $32,000 for LCH research.

“It’s important to us here at Redman Wines to help FECRI continue their experiments during these unprecedented times. Given the uncertainty Coronavirus brings to fundraising, this is one way we can all get behind the Institute.”
