Ballarat High School VM students are organising a walkathon to raise funds for the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute.
Fiona was a Year 8 student at Ballarat High School when she passed away with Ewing’s Sarcoma in 1991.
For many years Ballarat High School led Fiona’s Walk, an annual lap of the lake for schools in Ballarat to participate, remember Fiona and continue her legacy. After working closely with FECRI this year, students have been inspired to reintroduce this event and will be completing laps around a planned route at Ballarat High School on Wednesday, 21 June at 12.45pm. Some will be walking in honour of loved ones impacted by cancer and others in memory of Fiona, their stories can be viewed on their individual pages.
All funds raised through this page will be donated directly to the research program at the Institute.
